On 9 and 10 June 2026, the MASTER consortium gathered in Oldenburg, Germany, for the project’s Final Event and final General Assembly, marking the conclusion of three and a half years of research, innovation, and collaboration in the field of XR-based robotics training.
Hosted at CORE Oldenburg, the Final Event brought together project partners, Open Call winners, and stakeholders from across the XRExtended reality (XR) refers to real-and-virtual combined environment, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). Showcasing MASTER’s Results

Open Call Projects Take the Stage
A central part of the programme was dedicated to presentations from the Open Call projects. Throughout the day, representatives from both Open Call 1 and Open Call 2 delivered short pitch presentations, showcasing the technologies, applications, and educational content they developed within the MASTER ecosystem.
The presentations highlighted a wide range of innovations in immersive learning, robotics training, human–robot collaboration, safety, ergonomics, and XR-enabled industrial education, demonstrating the impact of the Open Calls in expanding the project’s technological and educational reach.
Following the presentation sessions and networking opportunities, participants visited the DFKI showroom and took part in an Open Call demonstration session, where projects had the opportunity to showcase their technologies and results in person. The demonstrations enabled attendees to explore the developed solutions first-hand and exchange experiences with project teams.
Reflecting on the Project’s Legacy
The following day, consortium members convened at the premises of the European Science Communication Institute for the project’s final General Assembly meeting. Partners reviewed the project’s achievements, discussed final reporting activities, and reflected on the impact created throughout the project.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the sustainability of the project’s results and explore how the technologies, methodologies, and collaborations established through MASTER can continue to contribute to the advancement of XR-based industrial training beyond the project’s lifetime.
Looking Ahead
