Extensive Reality Machine Tending for Industrial Training
RoboXR’s mission is to transform how people learn robotic machine tending and other industrial automation tasks by combining industrial realism with accessible XR-based training. Traditional methods such as lectures, manuals, and classroom demonstrations are often slow, costly, and disconnected from real production environments, limiting learners’ ability to gain practical, hands-on experience safely.
Technology
RoboXR overcomes these challenges by providing an immersive virtual factory where learners actively configure, execute, and test robotic actions using live safety logic. The platform mirrors real factory conditions, including industrial robots, peripherals such as grippers and sensors, and actual communication interfaces such as emulated fieldbuses, I/Os, and machine modules. Gamified feedback and multimodal interaction – including voice, gesture, and UI control – make learning intuitive while accelerating skill acquisition. This hands-on approach enables learners, especially those without direct access to industrial environments, to develop sustainable skills that transfer directly to real-world practice.
Building on validated results from MASTER OC1, RoboXR leverages scene creation logic from AAXLP and HMI flows from REACH, enhanced with industrial-grade automation software and AI-driven guidance within the MASTER-XR platform. ECECT (Cyprus) leads the design and validation of educational content, ensuring pedagogical effectiveness, while voraus robotik GmbH (Germany) guarantees industrial accuracy.
By bridging vocational and professional training with real-world industrial applications, RoboXR supports wider deployment and strengthens Europe’s robotics workforce. Integrating educational accessibility with industrial realism, it offers a unique, innovative, and effective solution that advances the goals of the MASTER initiative.
