The MASTER Second Open Call winners have been announced, with 24 projects selected to advance the use of extended realityExtended reality (XR) refers to real-and-virtual combined environment, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). More, artificial intelligence and robotics for education, training and industrial applications.
Building on the success of the First Open Call, the Second Open Call winners expand the MASTER ecosystem with scalable, human-centred and industry-relevant training solutions addressing real-world skills needs.
These projects propose immersive training environments, AI-supported learning design tools, virtual learning factories and sector-specific demonstrators. Many of the solutions are designed to be accessible to non-expert users, SMEs, vocational training providers and higher-education institutions.
Over the coming months, each project will be integrated, tested and validated within the MASTER framework, involving a broad range of end users including students, educators, professionals and industrial stakeholders. The results will contribute to strengthening digital skills, improving workplace safety and accelerating the adoption of XR-enabled training in real industrial and educational contexts.
Together, the projects selected under MASTER’s Second Open Call demonstrate the potential of immersive technologies to deliver safer, more effective and more inclusive training solutions, supporting Europe’s workforce and the future of human-centred automation.
